isn’t easy: so much was clear after the first three presentations of the ‘Are you ready to publish?’. But the last presenter, TU Delft Library’s one and only Alenka Prinčič, had seriously good news for the audience.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could get help in every phase of your research, from finding articles to spreading the results? And wouldn’t it be even better if you didn’t have to go looking for this assistance, because it’s all in the same place?

Welcome to Research Support @ Your Desktop! This web-portal was set up by TU Delft Library to assist researchers every step of their way.

The portal breaks up the process into four phases: Idea generation, Funding, Experimentation and Publishing. Choose one category and you’re presented with subtopics, such as ‘Publishing support at TU Delft’ or ‘Manage & archive your research data’. Click on this last item and you will see further options, such as ‘Set-up a Data Lab’ or ‘Obtain a DOI for your datasets’.

The portal then presents not only information and links about the subject and how to go about it, but also contact information of people who are ready to assist you. And you can leave comments about your own experiences, so the portal is a two-way street to further knowledge and awareness.

With Research Support, TU Delft Library hopes to take away some of the hassle due to all the extra things that are involved in your research process. So that you can focus on the things that really matter, and get the best results out of your work.
